GSMK part of expert panel on drones, counter-drone systems and electronic warfare during Enforce Tac 2026 organized by the Embassy of India

Nuremberg, February 24, 2026 – Given small, low-cost, potentially swarming UAVs, drone detection can no longer be treated separately from electronic warfare, a panel of German defense industry experts convened for discussing drones, counter-drone systems and electronic warfare as part of on overarching Defence Seminar organized by the Embassy of India in parallel to Enforce Tac 2026 in Nuremberg, Germany, concluded today. Participants in the panel underscored the need to develop and deploy new and improved specialized sensors, to fuse available data in an integrated situation report covering the full spectrum of threats, and for C2 systems to evolve in order to support the timely assignment of appropriate, cost-effective effectors to different kinds of threats.

GSMK, represented on the panel by its Chief Executive Officer Dr. Björn Rupp, pointed out the importance of very low-cost, easily deployable sensors for wide-area spectrum monitoring in order to detect and track hostile UAVs well before they come in range of specialized drone defense systems designed for protecting individual assets and locations. GSMK is honored to have been able to contribute to the insights formulated by the panel of subject matter experts at the Defence Seminar during Enforce Tac 2026 today, and would like to join the other panelists in thanking the Embassy of India in Germany for organizing such a timely and fruitful seminar.
